"我第一次想过用全景拍摄是在看了 Dave Chami 拿着 Hasselblad X-pan 在悉尼 Martin Place 拍摄照片之后，然后我就开始想他学习这些拍摄技巧，我对这一切都很好奇。他在给 Monster Children 拍摄跨页的照片，那也是我头一次听到 Monster Children这个杂志，但是我立刻就被它的风格所吸引。我们每个人潜意识里都对全景格式照片都不感冒，它就象电影院的宽荧屏，不过用它来拍摄静物确实能够给我们带来很多东西，滑板摄影强调的是能靠多近就靠多近，把不需要的元素最好完全去除掉，不过让人们看到整个现场，这不也是个非常重要的叙述方式吗"
« I first really thought about it watching Dave Chami shooting a photo in Martin Place in Sydney with a Hasselblad X-pan and as looked up to everything he did and how he was shooting, I was intrigued as to what was going on. He was shooting a double page for Monster Children which I had not heard of until then, but immediately researched and became a little obsessed with the magazine and the format. Subconciously we are all pretty immune to the panoramic format as it is so similar to a widescreen cinema format, but with still photos it definitely brings something else to a picture. Skateboarding photography is so often about getting as close as possible and distorting everything into corners of the frame but pulling back and seeing the entire scene is often the most important thing to do to actually tell the story. »
