Street League Skateboarding Names New President

Rob Dyrdek’s Street League Skateboarding announced Tuesday afternoon that it has named a new president. Brian Atlas, the first employee of Street League and the man behind the original business plan for the company back in 2008, will take the helm, reporting directly to Dyrdek as the company moves into 2014.

PRESS RELEASE - Street League Skateboarding (SLS) announced that Brian Atlas, currently the League’s General Manager, will become SLS President, reporting to Rob Dyrdek, League Founder and Chairman. Atlas will be responsible for day-to-day operations and leading the business into its next phase of expansion. Dyrdek will remain focused on the product vision, format, and overall strategy of the league.

Atlas created the Street League business plan for Dyrdek in 2008, and became the League’s first official employee; maintaining direct involvement in all aspects of operations since its launch. Prior to becoming GM, Atlas was the Director of Business Development for the tour, leading the business modeling and strategy of the series during its start-up phase.

“Promoting Brian was a natural move for us. He’s a lifelong skateboarder, a dedicated leader, and brings both a deep knowledge of the space and a connection with our pros,” says Street League founder RobDyrdek. “His commitment to Street League’s mission for skateboarding and his management skills are simply a perfect combination for the position.”
