上海，中国（2014年8月26日）——原创极限运动鞋服品牌Vans将于9月12日至9月14日在上海举办House of Vans活动，带给上海一个真正的创意之家概念。一直致力于创意自我表达精神的传播，Vans很高兴地宣布House of Vans系列活动——一个独一无二的但对所有人免费开放的空间马上登录亚洲。作为亚洲系列活动的首站，9月12日至9月14日House of Vans上海将在奂镜Central Studio和Arkham带来全球以及本地创意人提供的丰富艺术互动项目、音乐演出和滑板文化体验。
延续House of Vans布鲁克林和伦敦的形式，House of Vans上海在三天活动期间会提供一个与众不同的学习机会，所有人都可以预约参与不同的学习课程。其中包括了由摄影师及电影制作人Angela Boatwright指导的纪录电影制作课程；由摄影师Tobin Yelland和独立出版人Clint Woodside带来的个人独立刊物制作课程；由来自上海的Idle Beats艺术组合会提供给大家学习如何制作丝网印刷的课程。
活动三天时间内House of Vans上海将提供一个交流及创造的平台，让本地创意人体验“Off The Wall”的精神。活动会分为白天和晚间在两个场地分别呈现。9月13日至14日下午2点到晚上8点，House of Vans会在上海奂镜（Central Studio）展开各类艺术展览、互动、Workshop课程和音乐表演。Workshop课程预约将从9月1日起在活动官方网站上开放。而在12号和13号的两天晚上，Arkham会成为House of Vans音乐演出地点，每天都会有国际及国内的音乐人团体带来的精彩演出。9月1日将会公布如何在Vans上海的零售店铺内领取晚间演出免费门票的规则。

Shanghai, China (August 26th, 2014) – Vans, the original action sports footwear and apparel brand, is set to land the House of Vans, a true home for creativity, in Shanghai during September 12th – 14th. Building upon an unwavering commitment to creative expression, Vans is pleased to announce the House of Vans Asia Tour; a unique and participative space for all. For the first stop of the tour in Shanghai, the House of Vans will be opening its doors at Central Studios and Arkham, with a full range of art, music, and skateboarding activations open to all.
Following in the footsteps of House of Vans Brooklyn and London - yet forging a path of its own - the Shanghai House of Vans will provide a platform like no other; a place to create and share experiences together. Over the three days of activation at Central Studios, Shanghai residents can sign up for a multitude of workshops, such as a Documentary Film Making workshop, led by photographer/filmmaker Angela Boatwright. There will also be a DIY Zine Making Worskhop, for those interested in self-publishing, led by famed photographer Tobin Yelland, and Zine maker Clint Woodside. Bringing the local flavor, Shanghai-based art duo Idle Beats will lead a Screen Print Making Workshop for those interested in making their own art into a real screen print.
Always embracing and fuelling creative expression, the House of Vans in Shanghai offers a solid platform for the local communities to experience and engage with the Vans’ ‘Off The Wall’ spirit. House of Vans Shanghai will be split into two venues with art, music, and skate interactions taking place at Central Studios. September 13th and 14th will be open access at Central Studios for those wishing to experience the day-time vibe of the House of Vans from 14:00 – 22:00. Workshop spaces will be limited and available for signup via event website on September 1st. The evening portion of the House of Vans, with local and international music acts, will be taking place at Arkham on September 12th and 13th. Tickets will be available through Vans Retail stores in Shanghai, and lineup, scheduling, and ticketing locations will be made public on September 1st.
