Los Angeles has deep roots in skateboarding, with the Californian metropolis widely considered the international mecca of skating. Looking to celebrate this rich, illustrious history, Oakley took to the world-famous Melrose Avenue to open up the first of its Oakley In Residence pop-up spaces. Described by the brand as “part creative space, part skateboarding destination,” Oakley In Residence: Los Angeles features a workshop within its walls, where this week Crailtap’s Art Dump — led by Andy Jenkins — covered the walls in one-off illustrations that highlight eight seminal L.A. skate spots. At the back, the spots are physically reiterated for public use, where skaters can hang out and shred with friends and local Oakley team riders.
