James Messina (Russell Houhgten's assistant, but a damn good filmmaker in his own right!) created Nostalgia as a series of short films about skateboarding and the places it takes us. Lost In Translation is one of those short films. "I met Jared Cleland a few months after I moved to Los Angeles. We started filming here and there, as he was finishing up his Goosenectar part. After the premiere, I told him about the project I was working on. 'Come to Copenhagen, we can film a whole part there.' Although it wasn’t a whole part, The trip to CPH turned out to be more productive than I had anticipated, along with being the best trip I have ever been on. We continued filming when we returned to LA. I now consider Jared to be one of my best friends."
