国际冲浪联盟近日宣布将继续和在 Huntington Beach 举办的 Vans US Open 世界冲浪比赛合作到2018年，这次合作也说明，Vans US Open已经获得全球最著名的冲浪城市的认同
Cypress, CALIF. (April 19, 2016) – The World Surf League (WSL) is pleased to announce that the Vans US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach – which includes the sixth stop on the Women’s Samsung Galaxy Championship Tour, as well as a Men’s QS10000 event and a combined Pro Junior event – has been confirmed through the 2018 season.

继承了1959年以来Huntington Beach冲浪比赛的传统，Vans US Open已经演变为美国最大的冲浪赛事，除了冲浪比赛，里面嗨包括了Samsung Galaxy冠军巡回女子赛，以及Pro Junior比赛等等，项目也变得多元化，从冲浪到滑板到BMX还有回归的Van Doren Village创意工作室。
Vans还将在今年的比赛现场带来全球最顶级的碗池比赛 Pro Skate Park Series，全球顶级滑手将要前往Vans US Open出战！届时预计将有700000人从7月23日到8月31日之间。同时比赛将从7月25日开始现场直播！vansusopenofsurfing.com！
