I recently did a road trip from Stockholm to Copenhagen, passing through Malmö. I'd heard for years that Malmö's an icon of skate city. There was that time ages ago when Vans donated a concrete bowl to the city during the VPS tour stop, and then I heard about the skateboarding high school. Before I left, my friends in Stockholm were like, "Dude, you gotta check out the newly finished Love Park revival project." And wouldn't you know it, right near Love Malmö, there was also a skateboarding installation by Korean artist KOO JEONG A called EHM [Event Horizon Malmö], featuring "OooOoO Malmö" (2024). It was a whirlwind visit, but the city definitely lived up to the hype. Too bad it was raining that day, and I didn't bring my board. Guess I'll just have to come back and skate it next time.
